Philosophy

Chris takes an academic approach to creating a fitness program. He develops a fitness program based on scientific principles to take you from your current fitness level to the highest level you want to reach. He believes that the best results are achieved when you train smart, not hard.

Background

Chris has a passion for sports and exercise which was cultivated from a young age and has continued to develop throughout his entire life. As a young adult, Chris participated in soccer, basketball, cross country and track and field. Following his high school running career, the coaches invited him to continue with the cross country program as an assistant coach and later he took over as head coach. While coaching and motivating young athletes to perform their best, he realized his passion in life. o Above all, Chris wants to help others reach their goals. Chris is continually learning and adjusting his techniques to better help his clients reach the fitness level of their dreams.

Education

Chris attended the National Personal Trainer Institute (NPTI). He also earned recognition as both a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He has worked as an intern with two division 1 athletic programs, and in the spring of 2014, he completed his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado.

Hobbies

During his free time, Chris enjoys exploring the Rocky Mountains: hiking or backpacking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. He is also always up for a competitive game of golf or racquetball.
